Alpines and rockery plants

As winter comes to it's close, the bright and cheerful flowers of alpines and rock garden plants introduce much-needed colour into our gardens. Being used to extreme conditions, Alpines are extremely hardy, despite their delicate appearance.

There is a huge range to choose from, options looking good now include Aubrietia with its masses of traditionally blue or purple flowers, Saxifrage in shades of white, pink and red and Arabis with its bigger leaves and small pink flowers.

Alpines are easy to grow in the garden but are equally as home in a container. Here they can be combined with other foliage alpines such as Sedum and Sempervivums or small evergreen conifers or shrubs to create a mixed display. We sell alpines in 9cm pots £1.99 or 3 for £5 and larger 1 litre pots £3.49 or 3 for £10.
