It is a much stronger grower than previous brightly coloured foliage Hebes such as 'Orphan Annie' and 'Dazzler'.

If you like this then you would almost certainly like Hebe 'Heartbreaker' too which has foliage that flushes vivid pink during Winter.

www.waresley.co.uk

Lime tolerant rhododendrons

Inkarho Rhododendrons were bred in Germany and are marketed as 'Lime-tolerant'. Most rhododendrons like acidic soil with a pH of around 5.5 (neutral is 7). Due to their large size they are not usually happy in a pot either, meaning that if you do not have acid soil, you were not able to grow rhododendrons

Inkarho Rhododendrons change all that! They grow well in near neutral soil so can be grown in the ground in most areas (unless you have chalky soil). They flower spectacularly in spring and tolerate shade well.

www.waresley.co.uk

Erica australis 'Riverslea'

We have just had an excellent delivery of english grown Erica australis 'Riverslea'. Over the last few years there have been many excellent introductions into the hellebore market. Among some of the new hellebores we have in stock are Helleborus ericsmithii 'Winter moonbeam', Helleborus foetidus 'Gold Bullion' and Helleborus ericsmithii 'Pirouette'. The pink flowered Pirouette is probably our favourite.

Hellebores are such wonderful garden plants, they grow in most locations and tolerate shade well. To add to that they brighten up the garden in late winter and flower for a pleasingly long time. Pirouette as you can see from the picture has strong evergreen foliage and also at this time of year is stacked full of buds.

www.waresley.co.uk
