The cold snap is over and some brand new plants are coming into the Garden Centre. Over the last few years there have been many excellent introductions into the hellebore market. Among some of the new hellebores we have in stock are Helleborus ericsmithii 'Winter moonbeam', Helleborus foetidus 'Gold Bullion' and Helleborus ericsmithii 'Pirouette'. The pink flowered Pirouette is probably our favourite.
Hellebores are such wonderful garden plants, they grow in most locations and tolerate shade well. To add to that they brighten up the garden in late winter and flower for a pleasingly long time. Pirouette as you can see from the picture has strong evergreen foliage and also at this time of year is stacked full of buds.
